As you can discover from the map, Kharkov (Kharkiv in Ukrainian) is to be found in the northeast region of the country. It is the second city after Kyiv by size. The population of Kharkiv is approximately 2 million people. During the Soviet epoch our University was the third from the top by importance and education quality, after Moscow and St. Petersburg.

This is why you see so many young people on the streets and beautiful young charming ladies of a good education, too.
